On September 22nd, I will be leaving for a three month mission trip to Nepal and then to Mozambique, Africa. In Nepal I will be going with my family and a medical team to provide medical care to victims of human trafficking. We will also be sharing with them the redemptive, life giving message of Jesus Christ. We will be there for twelve days.
From Nepal, I will be flying to Mozambique for a mission school for three months. The rest of my family will be flying home at this point. At this mission school, I will be under the teaching of missionaries from around the world. I will be learning about what it's like to be a laid down lover of Jesus. There will also be opportunities for me to help out with a medical team, and hopefully for me to learn some about bush medicine.
I need your prayers over the next coming months:
1. Pray that I will be sensitive to the words of Jesus. I want to hear what He is saying no matter how loud things are around me.
2. Pray for the people I will interact with wherever I go. That they will be ready to receive the message of Jesus, and that I will be ready to share it with them.
3. Pray for my protection both spiritually and physically.

Hey! Just wanted to tell you I'm praying. It's so awesome that you will be in Nepal soon. I hope to get there at some point. I have some friends on trip there now. In a couple weeks I'm heading to Thailand. I remember what you said about Thailand when you went, and I'm excited to experience that culture while I'm over there.

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say hello! Seth Barnes sent me your blog this morning because I have been talking with him and praying about going to Iris ministries for the school of ministry in June!! He said I should get in contact with you. We went to Nepal in our second month on the Race, and it was absolutely one of my favorite places in the world!! We worked with an organization called "prison fellowship Nepal" that rescued children from the jails and placed them in boy/girl homes (children have to go to jail with their parents if they don't have anyone to take care of them).
